MFA Thesis Project II

The MFA Thesis Project in Computational Arts is a culmination of the student's creative and technical journey, embodying their unique vision at the intersection of art and technology. This intensive project requires students to conceptualize and realize a significant piece of work that pushes the boundaries of digital art, integrating coding, digital media, and interactive technologies. Guided by faculty mentors, students will demonstrate mastery in their chosen area, be it interactive installations, digital fabrication, VR/AR experiences, or generative art, culminating in a public exhibition and a comprehensive written thesis that contextualizes their work within contemporary artistic discourse. In Part II, students will have to plan how to showcase their work and develop a narrative about how their work fits in the current computational arts context. Graded P or F.
