Intelligent Computing for Interactive System Design

This course will provide an introductory and comprehensive review on the design of novel interaction systems, involving gestures, speech, text, touch, brain-controlled interaction and other innovative and emerging human-computer interfaces (HCIs). This course will cover a wide range of interaction-related topics, including basics of Internet of Everything, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Statistical Analyses, Machine Learning and Assessment of HCIs. This course will also come with several case studies for students to better understand how to apply the theories into practice. From this course, students can gain basic but comprehensive understanding of tools for HCI design and solve practical problems.
