The industrial training program provides different modules of practical training for energy and environment engineering students to give them a broad and structured understanding of engineering practice and help them satisfy the training requirements of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and the UK's Engineering Council for certification/registration purposes. This course will build the bridge between the knowledge acquired in the classroom and engineering practice to enhance student’s understanding and appreciation of the knowledge from the academic courses. By exposing the students to the problem-based exercise, this course will equip the students with hands-on experience in real life equipment, materials, instruments, tools, and automation systems for modern engineering. The students will also have the opportunity of applying modern artificial intelligence technologies in engineering practice, which will help the students succeed in the context of the industry 4.0 transition. Graded P or F.
